Small Molecule Applications
MolecuNav’s chemistry offers a transformative approach to installing either ¹⁹F or ¹⁸F into small molecules. This allows researchers to generate analogs that retain the original core structure and activity, while gaining the ability to track and analyze the compound in vitro and in vivo.
In addition, the fluorinated analog can serve as a “beacon,” enabling real-time observation of absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) using non-invasive techniques such as PET, SPECT, MRI, or NMR.
Because our fluorination process is both rapid and selective, it facilitates late-stage introduction of ¹⁹F or ¹⁸F without the need for expensive and circuitous protection/de-protection chemical steps.
